Overview

Brett Ackerman is a partner and a member of the Derivatives Practice Group in the Dallas office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He represents private equity funds and their portfolio companies, Fortune 500 companies, corporate borrowers and other financial institutions in bespoke derivatives transactions across all asset classes, including interest rate, currency, commodity, credit and equity. Brett has significant experience advising market participants on derivatives regulatory matters that arise under the federal commodity and securities laws.

He regularly advises on structured finance transactions, including energy securitizations, repurchase agreements, warehouse credit agreements, trade receivables financings and total return swaps.
