Makena Binker Cosen is a intellectual property associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She practices intellectual property law with a focus on copyright, trademark, unfair competition, trade secret and right of publicity law. She represents clients across a broad range of industries, from consumer products to industrial manufacturing. She has worked on matters in federal court and before the Copyright Claims Board.
Makena maintains an active pro bono practice where she assists authors and nonprofits in protecting their intellectual property rights.
