Overview

Olivia Cork is a regulatory associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.

Olivia has experience advising alternative investment funds, fund managers and financial institutions on UK and EU financial regulation and fund matters for client with operations in the UK, Europe and the United States, including AIFMD, MiFID II, UK FSMA, SFDR and GDPR.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Olivia’s representative matters included:

  • Advising on the establishment, marketing, structuring, on-going maintenance and closure of AIFs.
  • Advising on the application of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and related legislation, the rules and guidance of the FCA and EU single market legislation such as MiFID II, AIFMD and GDPR.
  • Advising a UK asset manager on becoming an appointed representative of a UK authorised firm under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
  • Advising asset managers on the impact of Brexit on their operations both in the UK and overseas.
  • Advising asset managers on the disclosure requirements under the EU Transparency Directive, the UK Takeover Code and the EU Short Selling Regulation.
  • Advising on ESG-related matters, including the EU Taxonomy and Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulations.
