Irena Efstathiou

Irena Efstathiou is a financial services regulatory associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.

Irena has experience advising alternative investment funds and sponsors on the regulatory issues relating to the structuring, formation and ongoing operation of private investment funds across a variety of asset classes. She also advises on the application of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and related legislation, the FCA’s rules and guidance, and EU single market legislation such as MiFID II and AIFMD. In addition, Irena counsels on the regulatory aspects of M&A transactions involving financial services firms, including assisting with the change in control analysis and preparation of change in control filings.
