Austin Favory is an intellectual property litigation associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He concentrates his practice on patent and trade secret litigation. Before earning his J.D., Austin earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biology and worked as a technical specialist for industry-leading medical device and life science corporations. In these roles, Austin provided his technical expertise in hospital operating rooms, research and diagnostic laboratories, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies around the country. In his most recent position before becoming an attorney, Austin was responsible for automating complex workflows and assays on large robotic systems. He leverages his technical background and industry experience to assist medical device, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare clients.
