Overview

Amber Harezlak is a technology and intellectual property transactions partner in the Salt Lake City and Bay Area offices of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She advises on the technology, IP, cybersecurity and data privacy aspects of complex corporate transactions, serving as a key advisor to private equity sponsors and strategic clients. Amber also represents clients in strategic commercial arrangements, including joint ventures, licensing, supply, development and collaboration agreements. Her practice spans a range of industries, with a particular focus on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and software, as well as business services and consumer brands. Drawing on her academic background in bioengineering, Amber brings a differentiated perspective to transactions in the life sciences sector, where she regularly advises on IP-intensive matters. Amber has been recognized by Utah Business as part of its “Legal Elite” (2024–2025) and has been listed in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Technology Law and Intellectual Property Law since 2021.
