Overview

Katie Holahan is a partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice primarily focuses on corporate governance and SEC reporting matters, including periodic and current reports, proxy statements and Section 16 ownership reports, as well as NYSE and NASDAQ listing requirements.

Katie returned to private practice in 2022 after nearly 15 years of in-house corporate experience, having worked for newly-public companies and companies in a variety of industries, including distribution/logistics, professional services and B2C e-commerce. Prior to joining Kirkland, Katie served as Associate General Counsel at US Foods Holding Corp. (NYSE: USFD), a leading U.S. foodservice distributor, where she managed the corporate legal function and provided legal support on corporate development, treasury, finance, accounting and compensation/benefits matters. At US Foods, she directly supported two of the company's largest acquisitions and managed all aspects of the company's debt-related transactions, including its COVID-related liquidity efforts.

Combined with her prior practice experience, Katie's in-house experience offers a practical, problem-solving approach to both new and mature public companies.
