Overview

Alyssa Scruggs is a litigation partner in the Boston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She represents companies and individuals in government investigations, including before the SEC and FINRA, as well as in shareholder disputes, complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy adversary proceedings. Her clients represent a wide variety of industries including financial services, technology, commercial manufacturing, biotechnology, and insurance. Alyssa’s experience spans all phases of litigation in state and federal courts, including appeals.

Alyssa also maintains an active pro bono practice providing legal representation to survivors of human trafficking in criminal matters and post-conviction relief proceedings, victims of domestic abuse and asylum seekers. She has given trainings and presentations on obtaining relief for survivors of human trafficking, as well as testified before the Massachusetts legislature concerning bills she has co-authored relating to the rights of human trafficking survivors.
