Corporate Scorecard

The American Lawyer's April 2000 "Corporate Scorecard" ranked Kirkland & Ellis as one of the top primary counsel to principals by number and total deal value of mergers and acquisitions in 1999 and was noted as sponsor's counsel in the fourth largest buyout.  K&E was also rated one of the top issuers' counsel for U.S. IPOs by number of issues and amount of proceeds and was noted as issuer's counsel for the eighth largest IPO in 1999.  In addition, K&E was recognized as debtor's counsel in the third largest bankruptcy filed in 1999.
