Kirkland Advises Virtual Radiologic Corporation in Acquisition by MEDNAX, Inc.

Kirkland & Ellis LLP represents Virtual Radiologic Corporation (vRad), which announced on May 12, 2015, the signing of a definitive agreement to be acquired by MEDNAX, Inc. (NYSE: MD), the national medical group specializing in neonatal, anesthesia, maternal-fetal, pediatric cardiology and other pediatric physician services, for $500 million. vRad is the leading radiology physician services and telemedicine company. It provides radiology coverage to more than 2,100 healthcare facilities across all 50 states and internationally. The transaction is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2015.
