Kirkland Advises BC Partners on Sale of CeramTec

Kirkland & Ellis is advising BC European Capital X on the sale of CeramTec by BC European Capital X and its co-investors, the Public Sector Pension Investment Board and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board, to a consortium led by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) and BC Partners Fund XI. CeramTec is a leading global MedTech platform and provider of high-performance ceramics for medical implants and bespoke industrial solutions, with 21 production sites and over 3,500 employees across 11 countries. 

The Kirkland team was led by corporate partners Attila Oldag, Philip Goj and David Higgins and associates Henry Birch, Greta-Josefin Harnisch and Andrea Jekkels.

Kirkland is also advising the consortium led by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) and BC Partners Fund XI on the financing for the acquisition of CeramTec. The deal was led by debt finance partner Neel Sachdev and associates Kanesh Balasubramaniam, Harry Briffitt and Marco Bagnato and high yield partners Matthew Merkle and Deirdre Jones.
