Kirkland Advises EQT on Acquisition of Baring Private Equity Asia

Kirkland & Ellis is advising EQT on the EUR 6.8 billion agreement to acquire Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA), a leading private markets investment firm in Asia with EUR 17.7 billion of assets under management (AUM). EQT’s combination with BPEA is a transformative transaction and provides a step-change to EQT’s presence in Asia, ideally positioning EQT to execute on the structural growth opportunity in Asian private markets.
