Kirkland Assists OmniVision on its Hong Kong IPO

Kirkland & Ellis represented the joint sponsors, including UBS Securities Hong Kong Limited, China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong, Ping An of China Capital (Hong Kong) Company Limited and GF Capital (Hong Kong) Limited, on the initial public offering of OmniVision Integrated Circuits Group, Inc. (OmniVision, SH: 603501, HKEX: 0501) on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited on 12 January 2026. OmniVision successfully offered 45,800,000 H Shares at an initial public offering price of HK$104.80 per share and raised approximately HK$4.80 billion prior to the exercise of the over-allotment option.

OmniVision is a global fabless semiconductor design company. In May 2017, OmniVision (formerly called Will Semiconductor) went public with A Shares listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. In November 2023, advised by Kirkland, its 31,000,000 global depositary receipts (GDRs) were listed on SIX Swiss Exchange, which marked the largest offshore listing by a China-based semiconductor company since 2005, with a market capitalization of over $19 billion at the time of the listing.
