Kirkland Represents Frazier Life Sciences on $1.1 Billion Close of Frazier Life Sciences Public Fund
Kirkland & Ellis advised Frazier Life Sciences (FLS), a longstanding healthcare investment firm focused on innovative therapeutics, on the closing of over $1.1 billion in capital commitments to its Public Fund from new and existing investors in an oversubscribed fundraise. Launched as a dedicated vehicle in 2021, the FLS Public Fund has raised approximately $2.8 billion. The Public Fund is long-only and designed to navigate volatility and liquidity in small- and mid-cap public biotech companies. The Public Fund also has the flexibility to deploy investments in later stage private companies via crossover financings.
The Kirkland team included investment funds lawyers Katie St. Peters, Dan Applebaum, Nathan Jimenez, Emily Hartney and Beth Jones; investment funds regulatory lawyers Nabil Sabki, Jina Yun and Paige Tapp; and tax lawyers Dan Meehan, Rodney Hill, Jaclyn Goldberg and Shiyu Ni.
