Kirkland Advises Davidson Kempner on Strategic Partnership with ReNew
Kirkland & Ellis advised global investment management firm Davidson Kempner Capital Management LP on a strategic partnership with ReNew, a dedicated seniors housing investment and asset management platform. The partnership will commence with an investment in one of the largest privately owned seniors housing operating portfolios (SHOP) in the United States, comprising approximately 4,500 units across 45 communities in 15 states. The diversified SHOP portfolio spans independent living, assisted living and memory care and is operated by five best-in-class regional operating partners across attractive U.S. markets. With Davidson Kempner's backing, ReNew will draw on its deep seniors housing expertise and specialized platform to drive continued growth across the portfolio and capitalize on favorable long-term sector fundamentals. The investment also provides a foundation for Davidson Kempner and ReNew to pursue additional investment opportunities across the seniors housing sector.
