Since joining Kirkland, James has been involved in the following matters:

• Upstream oil and gas company in its note purchase agreement with a direct lender, the proceeds of which were used to fund the acquisition of oil and gas assets in Texas.
• Minerals and royalties company in its senior secured reserve-based revolving credit facility.
• Tupperware Brands Corporation in the reallocation and restructuring of nearly $810 million of its existing senior secured debt to provide for, among other things, the reduction of certain cash interest, fees and amortization payments, an extension of the stated maturity of a portion of the existing senior secured debt and immediate access to revolving borrowing capacity.
• Riley Exploration Permian, Inc. (NYSE: REPX) in its acquisition of oil and gas assets in the Permian Basin from Pecos Oil & Gas, LLC and its issuance of senior unsecured notes in connection therewith.
• Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) in its partnership with IKAV to acquire Aera Energy, California’s second largest oil and gas producer.
• Pacolet Milliken, a sustainability-focused investment firm, in its joint venture investment with Evensol, a leading developer of renewable biogas assets.
• A midstream oil and gas company in a $80 million revolving credit facility.
• A sponsor in a $180 million delayed draw term loan and revolving credit facility in connection with the acquisition of a solar racking manufacturer.
• Ferguson UK Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Ferguson plc (NYSE: FERG; LSE: FERG), in connection with its $500 million term loan facility.

Prior to joining Kirkland, James was involved in the following matters:

• An upstream oil and gas company in a $1 billion reserve-based revolving credit facility.
• A compression services company in a $215 million ESG-linked credit facility.
• A midstream oil and gas company in a $150 million revolving and term loan credit facility.
• A frac sand mining company in a $100 million delayed-draw term loan credit facility.
• The administrative agent in a $75 million senior secured term loan credit facility provided to a saltwater disposal company.
• A pressure pumping company in a $60 million delayed-draw term loan credit facility.
• An upstream oil and gas company in a ~$41 million debtor-in-possession revolving credit facility, consisting of a ~$16 million new money revolving credit facility and a ~$25 million roll-up of existing prepetition loans.
