Since joining Kirkland, Jules has been involved in the following matters:

• Representing Abbott Laboratories and/or certain directors and officers in various shareholder matters, including shareholder derivative litigation and a putative securities fraud class action
• Representing EQT Corporation and certain of its officers and directors, defending a consolidated putative securities class action filed in Pennsylvania federal court arising out of EQT’s $6.7 billion acquisition of Rice Energy
• Representing Home Partners of America, defending several class actions in state and federal courts around the country in which plaintiffs allege consumer fraud and similar claims arising from HPA’s rent-to-own contracts with tenants/purchasers

Prior to joining Kirkland, Jules was involved in the following matters:

• Represented packaged bakery foods company and certain directors and officers in putative securities class action
• Represented energy company and certain directors and officers in securities class action
• Represented directors of publicly traded company in shareholder derivative litigation challenging share buyback transaction with then-controlling stockholder
• Represented multinational Fortune 500 company in SEC and DOJ investigations regarding accounting issues
• Represented broker-dealer in several FINRA arbitrations related to claims of unsuitable investment recommendations
• Represented biotechnology company against expedited statutory claim by director seeking inspection of corporate books and records
• Represented consumer reporting agency in dozens of lawsuits under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including in precedent-setting matter before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit
