Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout-Outs

Brent Rogers, Ken Monroe, Jules Cantor, John Hartmann, Craig Primis and Kate Katz received a shout-out for The American Lawyer Litigation Daily's "Litigator of the Week" for their work for Boeing.

Shout-out to a Kirkland securities litigation team that helped The Boeing Co. and two former executives, Greg Smith and Dennis Muilenburg, knock out claims brought by Value Recapture Partners, a company that specializes in acquiring and pursuing legal recovery rights in securities cases. Last week, U.S. District Judge Virginia Kendall dismissed with prejudice claims that the company made false and misleading statements regarding the safety, design and certification of the 737 MAX, finding that Value Recapture Partners lacked standing to pursue the securities fraud claims because it acquired them as an assignee rather than as a purchaser or seller of Boeing stock. The team included Kirkland’s Brent Rogers, Ken Monroe, Jules Cantor, John Hartmann, Craig Primis and Kate Katz, as well as former Kirkland litigator Garrett Martin, who is clerking on the First Circuit."
