Dr. Michael Ehret is a tax partner in the Munich office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.
Michael is qualified as German tax lawyer and tax advisor (Steuerberater) and has specialized tax experience in advising mergers & acquisitions and (re-)financing transactions, in particular as regards domestic and international M&A, private equity, acquisition financing, capital markets transactions, tax restructurings and fund investments.
He is ranked in Chambers Europe (2023) for Tax in Germany and is recommended as a “National Leader” for Corporate Tax in Germany by Who’s Who Legal (2023). In addition, Michael is listed among the “Best Lawyers” for Tax Law, Banking and Finance Law as well as Real Estate Law in Germany by Handelsblatt Best Lawyers (2023). World Tax (2024) rates him as “Highly Regarded” for General Corporate Tax and Transactional Tax in Germany.
