Prior to joining Kirkland, Jordan was involved in the following representative matters:

• Represented a premier medical device manufacturer in a two-week jury trial in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, in which the plaintiffs brought claims for an allegedly defective metal-on-metal hip implant. The jury deliberated for less than two hours before returning a unanimous defense verdict.
• Represented a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in a False Claims Act case involving marketing practices for two HIV medicines.
• Represented a major healthcare IT company in a False Claims Act case relating to federal certification of its electronic healthcare records software.
• Represented a multinational consumer health company in a civil action in California state court alleging that exposure to its talc-based baby powder products contributed to the plaintiff’s mesothelioma.
• Represented an international beauty and fashion company in a civil action in California state court alleging that exposure to its talc-based fragrance products contributed to the plaintiff’s mesothelioma.
• Represented a generic pharmaceutical manufacturer in the Valsartan multidistrict litigation where the plaintiffs allege economic loss and personal injuries from alleged trace contamination of a medicine for high blood pressure.
• Represented a major professional sports league in a lawsuit filed by a retired player alleging injuries from concussions and sub-concussive impacts sustained during his playing career.
