Litigator of the Week Runners-Up

A Kirkland & Ellis trial team led by Alli Brown and Mark Premo-Hopkins secured a defense win for Uber in California state court in the first bellwether trial in cases brought on behalf of Uber passengers who allege they were sexually assaulted or harassed by drivers. ... After a three-week trial in San Francisco Superior Court, this week jurors found the company was negligent in its safety practices at the time, but that the negligence was not a substantial factor in the plaintiff’s injuries.
