Pro Bono Attorneys Assist Beach Cities

As part of the Trial Advocacy Prosecution Program, Kirkland & Ellis attorneys gain trial experience in the fast-paced world of the prosecutor's office. Started in 1998 by Kirkland partner Sydne Michel, the program trained 10 attorneys at a time to prepare them to handle misdemeanor trials, motions, hearings and appeals for Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach on a pro bono basis. Since 1998, the program has grown and now includes more than 50 attorneys donating approximately 420 hours per year.
