Litigator of the Week Runners Up and Shout Outs
Michael Glick, Robin McCue, Megan McGlynn Butler and Gabi Durling received a shout-out for The American Lawyer Litigation Daily's "Litigator of the Week" for their work for client Handi-Foil Corp.
"... Shout-out to a Kirkland team including Michael Glick, Robin McCue, Megan McGlynn Butler and Gabi Durling, which represented aluminum container maker Handi-Foil Corp. in a class action claiming the “Made in the USA” labels on its aluminum pans were misleading. Some of the raw material in the company’s “Eco-Foil” line of products, made exclusively of recycled aluminum, was initially mined or processed outside of the U.S. But U.S. District Judge Nina Gershon in Brooklyn last week granted Handi-Foil’s motion for summary judgement, holding that the plaintiff hadn’t put forward evidence that she paid a higher price or suffered an “actual injury” because of the labeling."
