Kirkland Represents Vista Equity Partners in Sale of Transfirst to TSYS for $2.35 Billion

Kirkland represents Vista Equity Partners and its portfolio company TransFirst in the sale of TransFirst to TSYS (NYSE: TSS) in an approximately $2.35 billion, all-cash transaction announced on January 26, 2016. TransFirst provides secure transaction processing services and payment enabling technologies. TSYS is a global payment solutions provider. The transaction enhances TSYS’ offering and position in the high-growth areas of integrated payments, e-commerce and omni-channel services. As a result of the transaction, TSYS will be the sixth-largest U.S. acquirer based on net revenue, supporting more than 650,000 merchant outlets.
