Kirkland Advises ABRY Partners on Investment in ERS

Kirkland & Ellis advised ABRY Partners on its investment in the US$350 million capital raise by ERS. An investor group led by Aquiline will also invest alongside ABRY. 

ERS is a specialist insurer and the investment will allow ERS to accelerate its growth strategy and expansion into specialist (re)insurance business lines.  The investment builds on ERS’ recent backing of Lloyd’s Syndicate 1856 and its plans to launch a Bermuda-based speciality (re)insurance vehicle and ILS manager. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
