Kirkland & Ellis advised Centalion Group, one of the world's largest independent physical energy trading companies, on its acquisition of a high-quality portfolio of upstream and midstream natural gas assets in Texas and Louisiana from Silver Hill Energy Partners, a leading Texas-based private oil and gas company. This acquisition furthers Centalion's Gulf Coast natural gas strategy, building upon the group's acquisition of assets in the Haynesville earlier this year.
