Kirkland Represents Vector Capital on Acquisition of Majority Interest in WatchGuard Technologies

Kirkland & Ellis advised Vector Capital in connection with entering into an agreement to acquire a majority interest in WatchGuard Technologies, a global leader in network security and intelligence, advanced endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication and secure Wi-Fi. Vector Capital has agreed to make a new equity investment in the business, acquire interests previously owned by Francisco Partners and other co-investors, and become the majority shareholder. The transaction is expected to close by the end of Q3 2022, subject to customary conditions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
