Kirkland Represents Birkenstock and L Catterton on IPO

Kirkland & Ellis represents Birkenstock Holding plc (NYSE: BIRK) and its principal shareholder, L Catterton, on Birkenstock’s IPO. Birkenstock is a global brand which embraces all consumers regardless of geography, gender, age and income and which is committed to a clear purpose – encouraging proper foot health.

The offering consists of 10,752,688 million ordinary shares to be issued and sold by Birkenstock and 21,505,376 million ordinary shares to be sold by an entity affiliated with L Catterton, in each case at an initial public offering price of $46.00 per share. In connection with the offering, the selling shareholder has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 4,838,709 ordinary shares to cover over-allotments. The ordinary shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “BIRK” on October 11, 2023. The closing of the offering is expected to occur on October 13, 2023, subject to customary closing conditions.
