Kirkland Advises Avocet Partners on Acquisition of EMC Life

Kirkland & Ellis advised Avocet Partners on a definitive agreement to acquire EMC National Life Insurance Company, known as EMC Life, after a contemplated demutualization of EMC Life’s holding company, EMC National Life Mutual Holding Company. Avocet Partners is acquiring EMC Life to serve as the foundation of a permanent capital platform, with a strategy focused on investing in and significantly growing EMC Life through new products and distribution channels.
